love remains the same

i love my life. everything about it. i don't think i can say that enough times to truly show how i feel. i have finally found it. the moment in the book where all the seemingly disjointed events come together for one powerful, profound, yet totally predictable in hindsight. it's an indescribable moment to live in it, rather than read it.

days seem to fly by, i can never get all the little things done that i've been trying to do for weeks. and yet, i wake up with a smile and fall asleep with a smile. why can't i wipe my ear-to-ear grin off my face? love

The past week has been filled with joys. my little baby is home. she's slightly bigger, a wee bit more calm, but still filled with the same amount of love. she's like a 3 year old child - she knows how cute she is - and how far that will get her when she's hanging around the dinner table.

the family joined together this week, twice as a continuously growing group, to celebrate - love. there was more good food than there ever has been before, and we all ate until we were overflowing, with laughter and dinner.

everyone pitched in with the cooking, which is unusual. one person is always in charge of the meal and is the cook. it was such a wonderful and irreplaceable bonding experience to have everyone pitch in - here and there - where they had strengths.

and we had a birthday! except the apple crisp was so warm and gooey, that it melted the bottom halfs of the candles into the dessert - a little wax never hurt anyone.. right?? so we had to light the remaining candles and have them held up to sing and blow them out. a little melting was not going to be the cause of a meltdown, but rather laugther as we tried to figure out how to create the 25 nessecary. (if you see the two being held up by form of fingers, and then add the "4" candle with the single finger being held up, it equals 25. no one said we were math majors!)

three daughters. three sisters. one city. i couldn't ask for better sisters, for ones who loved me more, even if i tried. the phone calls, the emails, the facebook messages and wall posts. it all leads up to this moment... where love just exists, without trials or tribulations...

love.

more love.even more love.

mmm i remember the last time the three of us were in the same city together. it was this last may. and i thought it wouldn't happen again for a while, as it usually doesn't. but it was so wonderful, for us all to join together and have the men we love by our sides. i'm fairly sure my mom has been waiting for this moment every since July 7, 1990 when the third girl was born. knowing my mother, she thought, one day my babies are going to grow up and fall in love. and have babies of their own. and we will all eat and be an even larger family. well mom - the time is quickly approaching. i love our continuously growing family...
