Where I've been...

this is what i've been doing. serving high school aged students. helping them in their walk with God. we serve together. laugh together. face our demons together. hug and love.
i lived and trained in one of these cabooses. we had dance parties outside until curfew. i miss hanging out with my fellow crew chiefs, but the rest is so much more rewarding...
we get time to ourselves... every once in a while. this is where i escape to. i wade in the river, watch the dragonflies interacting. they do somewhat of a dance. and when their wings hit, it makes the most calming, peaceful sound that reminds me how submersed in nature i am.

then, the best part of all, is how i spend the other 22 hours of my day. i spend it working with 13 girls who i love more than anything. i never want to take time off, i just want to spend every minute with them. when i sleep alone on my one night off, the silence is ere, rather than calming..

this job is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

as i tell my girls when they impatiently ask what the day's plan is..
the best is yet to come
