Searching for God only knows what...*

It's crazy. I'm sitting, 2,000 miles away from home. Often, I'm mystified by the work of God, and why I felt the strength to get on the plane and leave home when I was homesick already. He always proves that He knows more than me. Once again...

Whatever I came out here searching for. peace of mind. relaxation. love interest (?). happiness. get-away-that-michigan-can't-give. It was all right where I left it. 2,000 miles behind me, in places like Lake Orion. East Lansing. Armada. The places that I can go and feel at ease. Places that fill my love-cup up fuller than I could ever wish for.

Sometimes it takes someone else telling you to come home to do it. What can I say? I'm a home-body. I love seeing the familiar smiling faces, more than I love seeing the strange happy people in this city. I love having a hand to hold, and hug to feel, a kiss to taste. Often times, I'm simply mystified...

...mystified that I believed that what I was looking for was here. Because I must have dropped it back on my wonderful weekend. I could not ever have asked for more; for more comfort, happiness, or relaxation. It is truly mystifying how a trip to a new church, Ikea, and a grocery store trip can end up with me in tears not wanting to leave it behind. And yet I did...

absolutly mystifying..

(I'm fairly sure this will be hung up in my new home. more samples to come...)
